OK so I'm really not that good with the whole blogging thing. I want to get better and hopefully I will. I figure it's spring, a new season, the beginning of new life, time to create new habits.....
That seems to be something I've been doing lately, creating new habits. Or rather recreating some old ones. I'm reliving my youth. In lot's of ways.
1. I listen to The music of The New Kids On The Block. Yup I did it as a teen and here I am doing it as an adult. Is it the same, nope, It's better. Why? I have finally seen them in concert something I was never able to do as a teen. Mom always said you can't go on your own your sister would have to take you. Of course my sister always said NO FREAKIN WAY would I go to a NKOTB concert. Flash forward to 2009 and my sister is FINALLY taking me to my very first NKOTB concert. Yeah she rocks, but oh what she started, 5 concerts and one cruise later, I've got my second cruise, and 2 more concerts lined up. I'm having a BLAST (not just from the past)
2. MAKEUP, for the past number of years it's been a special occasion thing, nights out, weddings, parties, vacation. Then all of a sudden DAILY. Why well 3 reasons. 1 my friend is trying to earn extra cash. She's a single mom and she is making life better for her and her son. She sells spa products, but I'm allergic to those. Then we realized I could use the makeup so I bought some, then some more. Then I started to get complements. WOW you look really nice. Plus hello cute boy, I gotta look good. go back to reason 2 you look nice, humm wonder if cute boy thinks so too?
3. DRESSES & SKIRTS - Yup I'm going way out there, its winter in Ottawa, and I am wearing skirts and dresses. I'm having fun. I look pretty and when you add it to the makeup, boy do you ever get compliments. WOW, random strangers saying hello, men saying after you and letting you through doors first, or on the elevator. Do you have and interview today? NO, why? Your all dressed. Oh, no I just got a new dress. (now pop you eyes back in your head) Oh cute boys!
So Spring has sprung, it's time for fresh starts, and who knows where it will lead.
